Real-Time Monitoring on Zepli

A complete guide to configuring continuous asset tracking, live event streams, and automated threat alerts.

Overview

Zepli's Real-Time Monitoring system provides automated observation of designated domains, IP ranges, and individual identities. Rather than running manual queries, real-time monitors continuously track changes and issue instant notifications when state alterations occur.

Step-by-Step Setup Instructions

  1. Access the Monitoring Console: Navigate to the Monitoring tab in your Zepli dashboard.
  2. Create a New Monitor: Click "Add Watcher" and choose the target type (e.g., Domain, IP Range, or Identity Handle).
  3. Define Rule Conditions: Specify target triggers such as SSL/TLS certificate updates or public data leaks.
  4. Configure Alert Endpoints: Connect notification destinations including Webhooks, email, Discord, or Telegram channels.
  5. Activate Stream: Save and start the watcher. Real-time telemetry will begin streaming updates immediately.

Key Monitoring Features

  • Domain & Certificate Tracking: Monitor SSL expiration dates, unexpected DNS record changes, and brand squatting.
  • Identity Leak Alerts: Track target email addresses or handles across new breach dumps and paste sites in real time.
  • Custom Webhook Delivery: Stream raw JSON event data directly to your internal SIEM or security workflow tools.

Best Practices

  • Set Threshold Filters: Avoid alert fatigue by setting strict trigger conditions rather than listening to low-severity noise.
  • Test Alert Endpoints: Send test payloads after configuring Webhooks or chat integrations to ensure uninterrupted delivery.
  • Group Related Assets: Organize watchers into dedicated projects corresponding to specific network segments or client scopes.
